About Lucy Marsh

I grew up on a small farm in a river valley in Iowa.  Prior to studying shiatsu, I taught environmental and outdoor education in Vermont and Rhode Island. I have an undergraduate degree in Spanish and have spent time in Mexico. As an avid backpacker, I understand the importance of being able to trust and rely on the physical health of your body to be able to follow a passion, whether it's climbing to the top of a mountain, skiing through the woods or working in the garden. As a naturalist, I carry a deep appreciation for the environment and the natural world. As a shiatsu practitioner, I bring the depth of this attention and care to my work.

Knee BendI have offered Zen Shiatsu in Brattleboro, VT since 2004. I studied at the Boston Bodywork School (formerly known as the Boston Institute of Shiatsu) and the Charles River School of Shiatsu in Cambridge, MA. I am certified by the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) and by the AOBTA (American Organization for Bodywork Therapists of Asia) as a Diplomate Asian Bodywork Therapist. I am currently continuing my education and knowledge of Chinese Medicine as a student of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs at the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture.
